This is the title the artist gave this picture and I'm not about to change it. Especially when he places those three cats in that alley. While at times I may take liberties with this artist’s titles, this is not one of those times. And I take no liberty in praising his considerable talent. His name is George, and on his now defunct DA Site he went by: ‘Ye-Olde-Geezer’, which I and his friends have shortened to: ‘YOG’.
Now to the background of this rendering. The inclination of this artist was to depict combative women in an intimate setting – Sort of close up and personal, be it boxing, fist fighting, wrestling, or catfighting. In contrast, the works I commission are often of epic proportions; and the two of us have discussed these differing aspects of visually presenting the truth of female fighting. Herein is George’s vision of the ‘Truth’. This is a great POV (Point Of View) in that these two jealous women are ganging up on a third to extract some sort of revenge. If she can break loose, this could turn into a three way catfight. Normally YOG’s combative women are intimate in the way that both women are close-in and struggling, flesh straining against flesh for superiority.
This specific picture was yanked from YOG’s now closed DA site because of overcrowding. Back then I sent him a note stating that I wanted to include his deleted renderings in my DA site. It reads as follows:
“George, I’ve finally decided to start an 'Archival' section which will upload those renderings that you have yanked from your DA site if that is okay with you. As such, you are going to be the lead-off artist. You have already sent me most of what I need, however there are still a couple of great ones that you can't find. I know you've done your best to find them, so let it be. Don't put any more effort into it. However, there can be an easy way for me to get the 'missing masterworks' and that is because there are followers of yours that down the years have downloaded your renderings to their own picture archives. And they can e-mail them to me. However, let's hold off on contacting them and see what kind of reception I/you get on my site when your renderings start being uploaded in 'Archival'. BTW, I like your new avatar a lot better than the old one. Drew.”
To which he succinctly responded, “Sounds good to me, Drew.”
