‘Archival: MILF Championship 2006 – Redux’. Rendering by: YOG’.

This is the title the artist gave it and I see no reason to change it as the words and scene are visually apropos. However, I did modify the title by adding: ‘’Archival’ and Redux’. Now, the reason I added ‘Redux’, to the title is because the word ‘Redux’ is from the Latin word, ‘reducere’ which is ‘returning’, or to ‘lead back’. Consequently, what I’ve done is return to that previous render and do a re-do. George, the artist, had placed a descriptive sentence at the bottom of the original picture. He will do that at times. What I did was remove the words because they distract from the render. The following is the omitted sentence:

‘German Marta Henke dominated USA’s Gina Fowler to win the 2006 MILF Catfight Invitational Championship held in the Grand Ballroom of the Lake Beiren Resort in Utah.’

I had already uploaded the original which included the sentence earlier. So here is the redux.
Now, there are times when I will modify or change an artist’s title, and this is one of those times. However, what I will not modify is my admiration for his artistic genius.

Anyway, this is a rendering by an artist who used to go by his now defunct DA Site name: ‘Ye Olde Geezer’. And who will be referred to with his initials: YOG. Of all the pictures the artist did, this one is really good as it shows the viewer the conclusion of a championship MILF match. For those who don’t watch that many movies, MILF are the initials that stand for: ‘Mothers I’d Like to Fuck’. Not only does George go to the movies, he has a wicked sense of humor – As expressed in the title of this rendering. Is he a great artist? In my opinion, damn right, and in fact, his renderings are better than most of the other pictures that various artist offer in the combative women genre. In the main, the artist, George, concentrates on the intimate, the closeness of fighting. Let’s face it, fighting is a contact sport, when it is a sport; and as such rather intimate. That contact can range from two sweaty bodies sliding against each other, to the other extreme – That of bare fists being driven deeply into bare flesh. This George explores in depth by stripping away all the outside influences, like spectators, for one. And therein is the tragedy, for the artist who did this work is no longer with us. I’ve had a long association with George, his real name, over the years, and have received written E-Mail and DA ‘Notes’ permission to upload a number of his works. In fact I was resurrecting a series of works he had yanked from his DA Site years ago, and including them in a section of my site titled: ‘Archival’. My intent was to offer the DA viewers artwork that had been removed by various artists from their own sites, and let them be seen anew. As a memorial to George, I’m going to dedicate this section to ‘The Best Of The Geezer’, and this is the twenty-sixth (26) one to be entered. Anyway, I consider this a great work of art, the equal of many, and better than most – By anyone in DA. Concerning the loss of YOG, I’m reminded of a scene in the movie ‘Shakespeare In Love’. Will, when finding out that Christopher Marlowe (his contemporary playwright and near equal), had been stabbed to death stated: ‘He was the first man among us. A great light has gone out’. That is how I feel about George.

The following is a write-up of an earlier picture of his that I posted on my site. It gives you an idea the close artistic relationship the two of us had:

“In the previous rendering 'Hot Button Pictures (HBP): Life Imitates Art' the Blonde has been knocked down into the corner ropes. For the follow-on illustration, 'HBP: Art Imitates LIfe', I don't have a picture in my inventory that shows that scene. So I wrote to my friend who goes by 'The-Olde-Geezer and said the following: "To: Ye-Olde-Geezer. I don't have an exact reverse to my latest photograph, 'Life Imitates Art-6'. But you do in, 'Knockout!', which you also call, 'Latina Vs Blonde III'. By exact reverse I mean I have a photograph of a boxer who has been knocked down against the corner ropes, but don’t have an illustration that shows the same scene. But you do in that 3D rendering of yours. May I have your e-mail permission to use it as 'HBP: Art Imitates Life-6'. Thanks, Drew."

To which he replied:
"From: ~Ye-Olde-Geezer. Date: Feb 1, 2009, 1:00:15 PM. Hi Drew, yes please do so! It's a great series that you've got going there and I'm happy to be of assistance in this manner. George."
And here it is. And it is a really great rendition of this artist's excellent, and numerous, and at times profound, output.

‘Nuff said. Drew.
