Everlast Pro 8 Oz Gloves by drewhammond Everlast Pro 8 Oz Gloves by drewhammond
Everlast Professional 8 Ounce Leather Boxing Gloves. These are the smallest sized leather professional boxing gloves that Everlast makes now. They used to manufacture 6 ounce professional gloves for the lightweight male boxers, but now they wear 8 ouncers. In mixed match boxing these are just the right size - Small enough for an average size woman's hand, and yet large enough for the hand size of an average sized male boxer. 'Nuff said. Drew.

Wow very old-school. The shoe-string style instead of the velcro strap LOL. Love it

Well, old school and new school. Here in the U.S. all professional fights (both men and women) are conducted with laced gloves. That's why you'll see white adhesive tape wrapped around the cuffs to keept the lace ends from flying into another's face. Drew.

The velcro are perfect for training at the gym, and sparring. But for serious fights it's the laced ones. And that is why they are twice as expensive as the velcro ones. Drew.

O i see, that does make sense. I have never actually fought someone with boxing gloves, i have just trained with them. I have air-boxed with people but not actually fighting in the gloves, thanks!

Well you came to the right DA Site. I've tried to create the finest site devoted to combative women - Especially boxing. I've also created a Group DA Site called just that: 'CombativeWomen'. Drew.

These are, pure and simple, some of the best gloves out there, for quality and for looks. I am very familiar with these--both my hands with the inside, and my face and body with the knuckle area. Not only are they well made gloves, but they are very elegant and just look and feel like the real deal.

When I pull a pair of these on, and a friend laces them tight, I know there's a FIGHT coming--not just intelectually, but deep inside. Feeling the laces tighten really tells me, body and soul, that the time for pain is here--and how much it hurts depends on how my skill and power stack up to hers.

Despite the pain--or because of it--I feel more alive swapping punches than at any other time--the rush of testing myself against her--and ultimately, the victory or defeat--wow!

But--if someone understands what I'm talking about, there's no need to explain--and if they don't, there's no way mere words can explain it at all.

(Incidently, Reyes are my other favorite glove. They both HURT!)

It seems you have a brilliant mind, and that combined with your physical combative passion has combined to enable you to write prose. Your writing style has progressed to a point that is prose and no longer journalistic. Watch out, you're becoming an intellectual. Drew.

Thanks--no one's ever accused me of being stupid--but brilliant may be an overstatement. As for an intelectual, nothing wriong with that.

Incidently, those gloves are fairly old, although in great shape. Most newer gloves have the maker's logo on the fist as well as on the wrist these days. (Hopefully, that logo will be imprinted on the other girl's face, not mine, next weekend.)

Yes, they are old. I bought them when I was sixteen and took up boxing as a teenager. The reason they are in such good shape is because I quit in less than a year. My reactions were average, which is fine for flying an airplane or driving a Corvette, but too slow against opponents with quick reactions. And you are brilliant - As the cliche goes, it takes one to know one. Drew.
