‘Roxie Rocket – Classic Gut Shot’. I consider the cartoon series ‘Roxie Rocket’ as one of the greatest works of cartoon artistry ever created in the combative women genre. It was a collaboration, with Danny Ryan doing the illustrations and Lobrow doing the coloration. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I’ll add only this: Here is the thirteenth of the panels. Then, as the battle continues, I will upload the follow-on panel each week and continue to do so until we reach the conclusion. Sorta like I’m doing with the ‘Elmtown’ series of illustrations. Finally, to address the Deviant Art censors on this series. ‘STJ Productions’ has acquired the rights to display these Danny Ryan pictures and has given me written permission to upload them on my site. The owner is a good friend of mine here in L.A. As an aside, it is in his boxing ring that the various ‘Big Bucks’ underground fights were conducted - The pictures of some of these fights previously uploaded on my site.
